Got 5 mins? Connect your AI to QuickBooks and delegate the close
Ototo enables Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot to gather relevant information from QuickBooks to update schedules, build reconciliations, and investigate variances across every company you manage, with permissions you control.
4 expense accounts moved more than $5,000 or 15% from August. Here’s what drove each, with the records to check.
You have questions. Ototo has answers.
Ototo gives your AI assistant access to QuickBooks, so it can follow the records behind an answer instead of stopping at a summary.
Spend less time preparing the explanation.
Your assistant pulls the reports, compares the periods and drills into the transactions behind the numbers that moved.
Get to the records that need attention.
Instead of scrolling registers, ask for the exceptions and get the specific bills, payments and entries to look at.
Spend less time on repetitive entry.
Your assistant finds what needs fixing, drafts the entries or corrections, and applies them once you approve.
Connected in three steps. No code.
Connect QuickBooks
Sign in with Intuit and choose the companies to connect. Add more anytime.
Choose who can do what
Everyone starts read-only. Grant more by company, by user and by tool group.

Paste one URL into Claude, ChatGPT or Microsoft 365 Copilot and sign in. Then just ask.
What’s an MCP?
The Model Context Protocol is the open standard AI assistants use to connect to business systems. Ototo is an MCP server for QuickBooks: it gives your assistant tools like “get general ledger” or “create journal entry”, and checks your permissions every time one is used.

The same work extends across books: reporting becomes consolidation, inspection becomes intercompany reconciliation, and entries become allocations and paired corrections.
Run the same review across every client.
Month-end checks you repeat for each client, done across every client company you’ve connected. Each user sees only the clients they serve.
- Month-end exceptions across clients, worst first
- Access by client and by user, read-only by default
- One firm account. Clients never share passwords.
Consolidate and reconcile without the spreadsheet.
Each entity keeps its own QuickBooks company. Your assistant reads them side by side, matches intercompany balances and drafts the entries on both sides.
- Combined P&L and balance sheet at the rates you give
- Unmatched intercompany balances, with corrections drafted for both companies
- Shared-cost allocations and recharges prepared for review
You decide what AI can see and do.
Finance teams have rules. Ototo checks them every time your AI assistant reads or changes your books, and forces your AI assistant to confirm changes.
Least privilege by default
New connections are read-only. Write and delete access is granted per user, per company, per object.
Segregation of duties
Let one user enter bills and another pay them. Permissions follow the controls you already run.
A record of who did what
Admins see who used Ototo, on which company, what they did and when (but never the prompts or data).
We don’t keep your books
Your numbers pass straight through to your AI and are never saved. QuickBooks sign-ins are encrypted with Google Cloud KMS.

Built by practitioners for accounting and finance teams
Access to the GL through Claude changed the way my team works. But I had to build and host my own MCP servers to make that happen. I hope Ototo makes it easier for everyone to experience the magic of AI in accounting.
Shaped with the firms and finance teams using it.
Design partners run real closes, reviews and consolidations with Ototo, get early access to new workflows and a direct line to the founder, and help us measure what it saves.

$50 a month per QuickBooks company and $5 a month per user with access. Start with a 7-day free trial, no card needed.
Add a company midmonth and pay only for the days left. Cancel anytime; access runs to the end of the month.
Does Ototo do the accounting itself?
No. Ototo connects your assistant to QuickBooks and checks your permissions on every request. Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot does the reasoning and drafts the work, and you review it before anything is posted.
Does Ototo store our QuickBooks data?
No. Data passes from QuickBooks to your AI assistant without being stored. We keep a record of who did what, on which company and when, but never the numbers, the questions or the answers.
Which AI assistants work with Ototo?
Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft 365 Copilot. Any assistant that supports remote MCP servers with sign-in should work too.
Can I limit staff to certain clients or entities?
Yes. Permissions are set per user and per company, and within each company per tool group: read, write or delete.
What happens when the trial ends?
Add a card to keep going. If you don’t, your connections pause. Nothing in QuickBooks is changed or deleted.
Is Ototo made by Intuit?
No. Ototo is an independent product of All Up, LLC, built on QuickBooks’ public APIs and Intuit’s open-source MCP server.
Do you support Xero?
Not yet. Xero is next. Join the waitlist.
Start with last month’s variances.
Connect QuickBooks, add Ototo to your assistant and ask it to explain last month’s biggest variances. It’s read-only, so nothing in your books changes. 7-day free trial, no card needed.
